This series represents a fascination with street litter at night when found in a setting which results in a strong design or in strong colour, shape or texture contrasts. The photographs were all taken at night using flash which has strengthened the colour and design elements and created an effect similar to an animal caught in the headlights of a car. The objects are exactly as found. As with many of the photographs I take, the images have a slightly unreal or surreal look and have more impact than might be expected from the nature of the subjects. |
